I was skeptical at first about buying this fan because some of the reviews said that the cover didn't fit like it should, and they were right, however it was easy to assemble and only 2 of the notches didn't line up. The fan has 3 speeds and moves alot of air

Low cost and light weight are the attributes of this fan. The fan is somewhat noisy and produces less than expected "breeze" which gives you the downside of this product. Also, it is not very stable and can be toppled very easily. This fan falls into the "you get what you pay for" category. I think it is advisable to pay more and get a more substantial fan.

I bought this fan at Walmart about 3 years ago. I thought it was very easy to assemble, so I didn't have any issues with that. It's easy to take apart to clean once you've been using it for awhile as well. This fan is loud, but that's actually why I bought it- I use it at night as white noise to sleep. It worked perfectly fine going all night every night for three years, but it finally died on me. I'll be buying another one.

Buy a pair of these Logitech X-140 2.0 Channel speakers and plug them into the TV earphone jack! Bam! Solve your lousy TV sound for a price you can afford! Worked for me when I bought a Vizio E320VP LED LCD HDTV! The TV speaker sound was lousy to say the least. I tried all combinations of sound adjustments, with no help, but didn't give up. I fought this sound problem for a year, and thought it was only me. I had some time off during this Christmas break to fool around with it. Got my extermal speakers and plugged them in, turned off the lousy TV speakers and wow! SILENCE! WHAT? Did some googling around and found out this box doesn't have audio out. Bummer! What now? Buy some expensive speakers just to improve the lousy TV sound! I almost gave up, and I saw a review by James. He solved his problem with some computer speakers because the E320VP does have an earphone output. I google the best computer speakers, and came up with two, Bose Companion for $90 and Logitech X-140 2 channel for $40. Googled around and found a pair of Logitech X-140 2 channel, no shipping for $25 tax, title and license. Received them in two days, plugged them in, and FANTISTIC SOUND! AWESOME in fact. listening to some Jazz..all notes that I want and can hear for a price I can afford. Left the lousy TV speakers on...doesn't make any difference now......

These speakers enhance and embelish the music coming from my computer. We even temporarily tried them on our HD TV and the sound was so much more rich and full than before. I use these speakers in my home office as I spend many hours as my computer doing family history and voluntary lookups for others from the books I own. I would definitely recommend them to others. The price was very reasonable, I paid $24.99 I believe.

Comparing X-140 with X-540 (that I bought a few years ago and I'm very happy about) - X-140 sounds extremely bad. Bought X-140 for my daughter's PC, hoping to hear something close to X-540. Big mistake. X-140 has very bad high tones - low ones are bad too. Dynamic is poor. Speakers sound like speakers installed in a cheap bus (maybe because they are cheap). Cannot recommend.

Pros: Accurate weight, the backlit screen is easy to read, and it includes a number of useful measures (fat %, water %, etc.).

Cons: The full display moves too quickly to read. It displays each screen for all of two seconds.

Truthfully, the fast-clear display has been enough of a problem for me that I'm returning the scale. I bought the scale because I wanted to see those measures, but they pass too quickly. It's not impossible -- you can get the display to repeat that 2-second cycle over and over -- but it was too much like work, and I eventually gave up.

First, the special percentages would not work. Later, this scale did not even work for regular weight. The company just responded that they were too busy to respond to emails. I have not returned this yet so I don't know if they would replace. I don't know if it is worth postage to try to get another one and not sure if they would replace/fix.

I upgraded from another Homedics scale that only had body fat % in the hopes of getting better information. Mission accomplished! This scale gives me good information in a quick (often too quick) easy to use format. My only real complaint is that the information only stays on the screen for a second or two before cycling to the next set of information and then turning itself off. To read the information fully I almost always have to turn the scale back on and have it display the previous numbers again.
The actual numbers for Body fat, water and muscle percentage are good estimates. Unfortunately, from day to day they vary up to two percent. For instance, in the last three days my body fat has been measured at 22%, 24.1% and 22%. This implies that over the course of a few days (weighing first thing in the morning after) I first gained 4.3 pounds of fat and then lost 4 pounds of fat which is obviously ridiculous.
Still, these numbers are consistent enough for me to know I'm somewhere in the area of 23% body fat. It'd be great for the scale to give me a 100% accurate result every time, but I doubt any scale on the market can do that. The technology just isn't that precise yet.
Overall I'm quite happy with the scale and I'm glad I bough it. Not a perfect product, but a good one.
